  1. A large effect on social and economic outcomes, and;
  2. Net positive financial benefits to local and state governments.

Our group identified more than 1,100 studies describing social and public health programs and policies. Of these, we narrowed the list to 75 based on timeline, number and significance of effect sizes, and probability of positive returns. We then chose 30 interventions that we and an advisory board of public health leaders considered politically feasible, were intersectoral, included a diversity of sectors and served a variety of populations.

We can model these interventions in a variety of jurisdictions to determine their impact on high school graduation rates, length and quality of life, and rates of violent crime. We also determine the cost and net program returns associated with implementing the program from year one onward.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”32px” image_repeat=”no-repeat”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
